Car Camping Tent

Camping is seeing a come back in the way of traveling and sleeping inexpensively. When buying your first tent or you are a seasoned camper and want a new tent there are a few important details you should consider. If going camping with the whole family; one will need a large tent that is grounded. Others like to go hiking alone, some like to take one other person or just themselves. Buying the correct type of tent is crucial. For just one person or two the car camping tent just might be the right one.

Some have never heard of a car camping tent but they are learning about them because they are great for one, maybe two people and they do not have to pay for camp sites. These are very popular in African safaris and European holidays. This type of tent is very inexpensive way to go camping and see the world. Most of them have a built in mattress, some do not and that is not a problem. Just put the mattress on top of the tent and cover it and away you go.

Most car camping tents have plenty of ventilation, windows and can come with a built in air mattress. They are so easy to store and set up. They open up to about eight feet sleeping space. The awnings protect from the sun and rain.  A car camping tent is very safe; they remind you of climbing up to the top bunk. The floor is solid and sturdy as it is actually the roof of the car. They are made of solid, quality materials, just like a normal tent.

Some manufactures that make car camping tents make them of lightweight laminated polyester rip stop canvas. That is to say if by chance there is a rip in the canvas, it will not ruin the entire tent. When it is closed, the tent is protected a coated polyester cover. Most of the car camping tents come with mosquito netting on all of the windows, ventilation hoops to prevent condensation.

When you have decided on which style and type of car camping tent you want, the ease of setting them up is a breeze and they are off the ground so there are no pesky  bugs crawling in. they can withstand some pretty high winds are comfortable. You do not have any poles to set up, no liners; just a few steps and the tent are all set up.

There are some car camping tents that cover the entire car and have extra room around the car, others are on top of the car, and those must have a ladder to get up in them. But face the car towards the ocean and you can fall asleep listening to the ocean. Other car camping tents will cover one side of the car, coming down from the roof, giving it more of a normal tent feeling. This type of tent is for one maybe two people, not a whole family. Prices will vary, depending on which type is chosen.
